A new psychiatric clinic in Levanger where evidence-based research, highly developed BIM and Swedish and Norwegian healthcare architecture expertise converges on a successful addition to the Levanger hospital area.
The 2700 m2 addition is situated in the old hospital park and consists of 3 wards and a psychiatric polyclinic surrounding a central courtyard. Our primary design goal was to design a building that would fit gently in the park surroundings as well as the neighbouring listed brick pavillions erected in 1980. In addition we aimed to combine the extreme requirements in flexibility, transparancy and sturdiness with the need to provide safety and comfort to patients and employees.
