The Lofoten Bio Centre in Leknes is the new headquarters for the companies in the Nordly Group, in addition to a bacteriophage factory and research laboratory, as well as classrooms for Lofoten's new aquaculture education. The architecture is inspired by the mountains in the building's surroundings. The vision has been a unique and modern building that blends with nature, changing with the seasons and surroundings. The building is situated right by the shore, with parts of the structure placed on foundations in the sea, allowing it to hover above the rocky shore and the sea. The project is highly complex, both due to the building's distinctive design, size, and functionality. The building's location also means that it must withstand challenges from both waves and extreme weather conditions. The building was completed in June 2022.
