Between 2009 and 2016 approximately 800 dwellings are built at Sørenga in Bjørvika, Oslo offering a fantastic location right on the waterfront. LPO Arkitekter, together with Kristine Jensen and Aas-Jacobsen projected both Sørenga harbour bath and promenade. All boardwalk and promenade decking is in Kebony Character which has developed a beautiful silver patina over time.
The area is unique in that it is surrounded by the fjord on three sides. Among the facilities planned are a park and bathing complex, a long harbour promenade with shops, cafés and restaurants and a marina. As well as underground parking facilities, there will also be storage units where residents can stow their kayaks.
