Blåsenborgveien
Architects: Arkitektkontoret Vest
Year: 2017
Area: Unknown
Location: Sandnes, Norge
The intention of the project was to create contemporary and timeless architecture, and to maximize the potential of a densified site wich is situated in an established residential area close to the city centre of Sandnes. High quality materials and attention to detail has been vital throughout the planning process and construction.

The plot is situated on a hillside overlooking the city and its perimeters. The main concept-features were the view, the nordic light and contact with the outside. As a result, the main living room with kitchen- / dining area is placed on the top floor. The ground floor har access to the garden and the first floor has access to the courtyard. A large terrace on the top floor extends the living room seamlessly from inside to the outside.

The two plots has a shared access from the street and the courtyard is partly a shared space. Both houses has a double garage. The houses are constructed in timber with a ventilated facade. The white rendered finish gives the facade a clean and even surface. Planed wood balusters in a warm natural colour contrast the rendered surface together with black aluminium windows, doors and steel columns.
