They are used nowadays for such purposes as railings and as a design element on facades, influencing the building’s style and architecture. The use of battens as terrace flooring makes exciting design possible. Battens cannot be used as load-bearing structural elements.
Concise facade battens are higher quality, with a stylish, modern design. They are ideal for railings and to break up facades on apartment blocks and large buildings. The surface has a sawcut finish, very similar to being brushed, giving it a ‘comfort texture’. It will be smooth and fine, with an exclusive look and extra good stain adhesion, with less fibre rising.
